Even though the Grammy Awards showcase the best performers of the year, we all know that the Grammy Awards Red Carpet is all about Fashion.
From the low-profile simple dressed performers to the most eccentric ones, the Red Carpet is a Catwalk of Haute Coutoure and a Mixture of different styles and personalities.
So let’s have a look at the boldest outfits in this years’ edition of the Grammys.
Just like her deep and meaningful lyrics hit us like a truck by pushing all the right buttons, so does Adele’s outfit. This Givenchy dress conveys the playful joy of an early spring day, while still enhancing the elegance of her curvy silhouette.
Her washed-up make-up, combined with the freshness of the outfit, slightly reminds us of Botticelli’s Venus.
This solemn gown by Zuhair Murad is the perfect outfit for the modern Diva. The pointed shoulders and the very low neckline make her look like a living Fashion-Sketch, while the high side-vent gives us that Jessica Rabbit vibe that we always enjoy.
The not-so-subtle bow at the bottom of the neckline, however, is the only thing we may want to change about the dress. But then again, a Diva can pull off that and even more.
CHANCE THE RAPPER
Just when we thought that the Grammy Awards were all about the women, there comes Chance The Rapper showing off a custom Thom Browne denim suit.
The cropped grey blazer, combined with classic regular fit trousers and a grey tie, is able to shake up the whole outfit, by making it look young, smart and different.
Speaking of Spring, Elle King’s outfit goes slightly further than a simple “playful joy of an early spring day”.
The dress, indeed, is a hymn to flowers and Snapchat-like filters. Although the shape of the dress may not give justice to the curves of the young singer, the design is able to stand out and prove its value.
Maybe best without a matching flower-crown.
It’s hard to think of one time when Jennifer Lopez didn’t actually pull off a dress.
J Lo’s Ralph & Russo’s amazing pink dress can’t help but enhance the singer’s natural femininity thanks to the side-vest and revealing neckline that give us the chills.
And just to make sure that sexy matches elegant, J Lo sports a very Parisien tulle neck decoration and, of course, Louboutin heels.
Bold doesn’t always mean stylish and spot on. In fact, although Katy Perry’s Tom Ford sparkly dress nicely matches her new blonde look, while also featuring an amazing skirt embellished with thousands of feathers, the whole look just doesn’t seem to be right.
The low-waisted skirt, combined with the wrinkled fabric upon it, make it look like she’s wearing a short glittery dress but forgot to take off her feather skirt.
How could she not be mentioned among the boldest outfits during this year’s Grammy Awards?
Lady Gaga sports a jaw-dropping custom Chrome Hearts outfit that no one else would have been able to pull off.
The (very revealing) black jacket with hairy collar and sleeves is designed to cover up only her breasts, leaving very few to the imagination.
The black shorts embellished with chains and black latex high-boots with platform heels are definitely the toughest outfit of the Grammies.
But the again, Gaga can.
Another example of beautiful Men’s Wear is with no doubt Nick Jonas.
The young singer went for a Balmain outfit, sporting a stunning black velvet jacket embellished with studs. The rest of the outfit is quite plain, which makes the jacket stand out even more and the whole outfit incredibly tasteful.
Sometimes you don’t need to try too hard to be spot on.
Despite the, for some, excessively polished look of her outfit, Santigold’s dress was one of our absolute favourites.
Her gorgeous pink Gucci dress embroidered with an intricate serpent design across the chest gives us a taste of real refined Vintage. It features very princess-like puff long sleeves, a tasteful round collar and a plissé midi skirt.
However, we would have gone for a different style as to shoes, in order to preserve the harmony of the dress.
It’s really no surprise to find out that Solange wore our absolute favourite dress of this year’s Grammy Awards.
After all, awesomeness is in her DNA.
Solange sported a very dramatic gold lamé Gucci dress that brings us right back to the 80s. The one shoulder dress is embellished with a series of gold waves that frame her neckline and flow their way up to the left sleeve.
It also features a plissé flowy skirt with, of course, a breathtaking side-vest.
Way to go, Solange.
